FALE NOVAMENTE FALE COMO CHUVA - SPEAK AGAIN SPEAK LIKE RAIN is an artistic participative project about spoken word as cultural form of activism and the urban spaces that are seen as opportunities and resources through the practice of Sarau and slam poetry in Brasil. The artist Irina Novarese researched and used the practice of spoken poetry to engage participants in a debate about the right to the city, to celebrate urban life, to embrace perspectives and concrete surfaces. The exchange that resulted from the encounter with poets and writers of the spoken word poetry scene of São Paulo was a tool for understanding the social realities of a city like São Paulo. The book FALE NOVAMENTE FALE COMO CHUVA - SPEAK AGAIN SPEAK LIKE RAIN is a compilation of poems about the City, about poetry as medium to celebrate the visions for a life based on equality, and about the narratives that bring people together in the context of mega cities and informal neighborhoods.
